Hi guys, talk to me about Amazons- anything-

Do you have any, if not, why not?
If you have them what do you have?
Alternative manufacturers?
Thoughts on paint schemes-space punk rocker or Zena?
Anything else?

They are a force i have never used or played against.

I've got a full set of the originals, and thirty or so of the See Thirty modular Amazons that came out earlier this year.

As mentioned, the See Thirty range, but they were a limited release as far as I'm aware and I'm not sure if a manufacturer has picked them up. I've not seen anything else that fits with the originals.

Mine will be allies for my WFB Slann, replacing the somewhat politically displeasing pygmies, so I'll be going with bright Mayan-style colours

Can't find that range online.
Make sure you post pics when finished.

They were sold through a facebook group, here's a few pics of them:

In response - yes, At least one of each of the original C series, as above, pretty much as stated and I'm adding bit's and pieces from other manufacturers to bulk out and provide specialist troops such as Celtos http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Celtos/The Gaels.html, Grenadier http://www.mirliton.it/fantasy-25-28mm/amazons and Ral Partha https://ironwindmetals.com/store/index.php?cPath=365_377s.

I've played with them a few times best description Light troops with some fairly high class up grades

Hope this helps

John,

I live in a house of women/females (even down to the cat), of course I'm going to have an amazonian army.

I was thinking more that you have a reputation for having just about everything. ;)

I believe they are now with Jason lye at Ye Alchemist and should be getting a re-release sometime soon. He has sent me a couple of cold ones to work on and briefs for rider sculpts so I think they will be getting expansion when back in production.

Excellent news! Look forward to picking some more up in the future.

I accept, that which I have, I do tend to have in quantity. But this is a reputation ill deserved, when compared to such as yourself - your contribution to the Morcar game was extensive and glorious to behold in all its painted glory, at BOYL a couple of years ago.

Denizen miniatures are still available for those who don't mind the smaller size.
I actually have a few in the mountain that i didn't know were made by them.
