starter set

i put together a starter set for my beloved's nephew's eleventh birthday; i went sci-fi as he's keen on star wars, and chose starport scum for the ruleset, since it's relatively simple but with enough detail and a campaign system that keeps things interesting.

to get him started, i made some floorplans using the old gw citi-block ones:

Re: starter set

then i generated some initial gangs and wrote a four part mini-campaign to utilise them:

i also included a miniature painting guide, should he take an interest.

Re: starter set

I love your choice of minis. Avians and Spice Lice are great alternative models.

Doing a start set is a great idea.

Re: starter set

thanks both. at least part of the endeavour was to ensure he realised there's no need to get dragged down the proprietal ranges route when choosing miniatures.
