Lots of lovely old models here, that demon is great. I'm interested to see how you get on with the contrast paints, haven't tried them myself but they look interesting. Oddly there doesn't seem to be a huge degree of contrast so far on the demon, perhaps just the photo or the weather conditions as you say. Can I ask what you undercoated it with?

Thanks for the kind comments. Quite true - the demon doesn't look that good, but since then, I've got a bit more done using more traditional methods, which I'll show off once I've got the basing done.

As for the base coat - Grey seer was the recommendation from the shop staff, so that's what I used, not my usual choice of base coat (black) but who am i to argue with those who are supposed to know these things.

Sorry, I didn’t mean that to sound like a criticism. I’m just a bit sceptical about Games Workshop’s claims for their new paints and the required undercoats.the demon looks good so far and I look forward to seeing it finished.

None taken, I didn't think it looked that good either, hence the further work

So while I'm here here's a couple of shots of whats currently receiving a bit of colour .

Enjoy

Twenty plus years ago my eldest daughter 'painted' my rainbow winged Coatl silver and placed it on a shelf in her room where it took pride of place amongst whatever else girls of that age collected at the time! Well, needless to say, said model has comeback into my collection and I've stripped off the silver attempted to bring it back to its former glory. My opinion is that the original enamel paint job was better, but I no longer use such paints. What do you think?

Definitely, still works in progress these two as their final assembly has had to be put on hold as my stock of superglue has solidified! Hope these pictures give you a idea of how their going to add more weight to my Lizardmen/Slann army! I've another one in the bath and a Ral-partha tortoise on the go. but neither will be ready for BOYL as I concentrate my efforts on the Terradons in these final couple of weeks.

Hope you like

I love the colour choices you've made really makes them stand out and I have no doubt will make for a very impressive army . I particularly like the use of the white on the Coatl wings, its something I would have never thought to do when painting such a colourful model but it really works.

I usually run with the rainbow sequence on the run of colours, but didn't have anything suitable, hence the white. OK all now glued up and varnished awaiting their basing material. Hopefully these pictures will be better than the last ones.

Enjoy

OK, here's the last of my stuff which will receive a daub of paint prior to BOYL apart from a spray coat of varnish - Terradons with a passing Coatl to add a bit of colour!

Enjoy

Thanks for the kind comments guys, As for colour Andrew beats me every time.

I've now finished work for the week and starting to draw together the stuff I'll be bringing to BOYL, hopefully You'll get to see them in the flesh at BOYL and see just how simply their painted. Thus, the journey begins!
