Re: Crimson Fists - Rogue Trader
Almost there, I've got a bit frustrated, bored of these now in such a number. The base colouring I can do quick but its all the details and weathering which take an age and each time I pic up one to do a little more, I see little mistakes that need correcting or missed bits. So, for now, they are table top ready and done, with the caveat of needing the usual transfers, touch ups and mat varnish.
Sternguard Squad - They look the part, I'm happy with these.
Tactical Squad - Reposed plastic beakies, some pose better than others but on the whole I'm pleased with this little experiment.
Tank Riders - I'll use these chaps to sit on Rhinos as makers for carrying troops.
Tactical Squad - No helmets. The flamer back pack looks ok and saved me the lack of a true marine one.
Tactical Squad - With helmets. The Imperial Space marine is not finished, I didn't want to just batch paint him so I will give that model some time and patience in due course.
Tech marine gunner - For thud gun, I feel a bit, meh. The pose don't look quite right and his little hand console looks kit bashed rather than LIKE something. But it will do for now.
Comms - (not sure what / how to play with chap) I think the back pack goes with this model perfect.
That's all for now folks.
Not sure why but the camera/lighting seems to not pick up the blending well and gives an overall warmth to the colours? I have white balanced it. AND it picks out all the worse bits with clarity
