I can't remember the issue, but I'll dig it out: it contained the yearly report about GD awards.

So not only featured in White Dwarf, but featured in the Golden Demon part of a White Dwarf. Very nice 8-)

I have nothing like the patience required for that sort of thing, which makes your work all the more impressive. I do hope that you speed up a little though, as I would love to see more :)

I wouldnt sweat over that

Time to introduce a slightly converted Oddgit (I know it's not strictly oldhammer-y, but I like Brian Nelson's sculpts, too - especially his "half-moon goblin faces

I decided to modify its staff because a) I didn't like the bat-wing thingy on top, as it reminded me of the undead stuff from the Red Period and b) as it didn't look like a real pair of bat wings, I couldn't decide which colour to paint it with.

Beautiful.

There has been a backlash of sorts against the aesthetic direction that GW greenskins have taken since the late 90s, when Brian Nelsons influences started to dominate, but I love his work by and large.

What a shame your base was damaged and you couldn't use it on the day but glad it didn't stop you from winning. All's well that ends well. :)

Great job on that Shaman.
Being a Night Gobbo kind of guy, I have a fair few of their more modern sculpts and I like them a lot- including this guy.
Pardon my ignorance, but is he a named character? ( I only took the plunge into WHFB with 7th)

I love them, too, especially the squig herder and riders from 4th ed. WHFB (at the opposite, I can't stand 4th ed. orcs)
It was labelled "Oddgit" on the original blister, I assume it was its name

I told you I'm a slooooow painter, didn't I?
Better late than never, as the old saying goes...
I'm eventually able to introduce you Kimdar Maceshaker and Spikk, who couldn't make it for Orctober for a matter of a shield and some mushrooms to finish off the base
Hope you like them (sorry for the poor pictures)

They look great. Those models are definitely improved by paint...I never liked the catalog photos, but seeing them finished is a whole nother story.

Lovely backdrop as well!
