Lord of Bones spreads his diseases with a caressing hand, wanting to embrace every living being in the blessing of the green plague. The Lord of Bones fatherly love encompassing all, from the tiniest nurgling to his most favored heralds: the plague hoard itself. The Lord of Bones lurches among his minions, he is one of the most protective daemon-fathers, acting as a true embodiment of his god Nurgle. During the daemonic siege against the High Elfs known as the “Death Rage” the Lord of Bones sacrificed himself to protect his Nurgle horde against forceful anti-magic. The plague father hasn’t been seen in the Old World the last 800 years, making information very inaccessible. But one day he will be back…at least that’s what he cried out when banished back to the warp at the gates of the Grey Towers.

PukespittleHerald of hailstorms; Gardener of the Blight Forest; Creator of Decay Acid

It is well documented by the humans in Marineburg that a champion from the the Red Rose regiment survived a “Death Carnival” at the outer regions. That the Swordman followed the chaos pact for days but that the time for revenge ended as the infection spread. That the Champion became loyal with the very ones that slaughtered his whole regiment and that he became associated with the name Pukespittle. Later In the book Secret Wisdoms, Pukespittles name appear again, a half-man/half-demon that: “Shatters the walls between dimensions like a storm”. The same book also lists reports from a wood elf strong hold that refer to Pukespittle as [eoindarie a veoil] the human daemon key. It is later, during the Storm of Chaos days that Pukespittles among dark elf journals is refered to as a “Ogre-sized harbinger of death” and the “Troll-like Demon with vapours”. With time Pukespittle seams to have lost his human side and with that also the ability too travel between realms. But when the last trace of his loyal and human heart left this world it changed him, mutated him to a beast. The fact that it’s mostly dark elves that have kept track of Pukespittles whereabouts have its origins in the epic war known as the Blight rain over Kzakadoom. Four dark elf strong holds guarded one great magical pillar that served as a barrier against magic winds. With the magical pillar exposed it opened an old secret gateway to the temple of Zarradumei, home of the Lizardmen. Covered in reptile blood Pukespittle pulled the ancient artefact known as the Greater Standard of the Seven Plagues out of the jungle temple. Pukespittle turned to be one of the Plaguefathers more valuable assets. Among chaos cults he is referred to as “Gardener of the Blight Forest”, where this forest is placed is impossible to say but the title hints of a greater position then other heralds. That the forest is more or less physical place is also based on the fact that artefacts in the form of fungoid decomposed appeals have been discovered. On the small island of Grandebour human cultists known for worshiping Pukespittle have been forced to eat this gift of Chaos. In letters to the Brettonia king himself the prison administrator writes that “The captured servants of chaos resisted the appeals but were force feed. Some minutes later they started to vomit black and grey pools of liquid. The vomits become great streams of decaying acid that melted stone and iron. The guards that tried to stop the cultists instantly got vaporised to a decaying mess”. If not stopped it’s most likely that Pukespittle in the future will turn into something much greater and more unclean then his present form.

NurglingsThe daemonic children of Nugle

1378206_10151671773620759_1837718076_n.jpg

Nurglings a miniature images of Nurgle himself. With friendly mischievous faces, tiny bloated green or brown bodies. They are gregarious, agile and constantly active. Normally they swarm over the body of a Great Unclean Lord, picking at his skin, squealing with pleasure if their master favours them. When faced with an enemy they advance in a furious swarm. Clawing and gnawing at their foes legs, biting ankles and licking at any interesting sores or abrasions they discover. Their tiny teeth are sharp as knifes, leaving festering bits upon their victims dead bodies.

Beast of Nurgle – In service of the Plague God

Immense slug-like monstrosities, Beasts of Nurgle crawl across the ground on their bellies, weakly propelled by clawed flippers, leaving a layer of stinking slime in their wake. While slow, the Beast is implacable in its advance, undeterred by all but the most fearsome of weapons, as relentless as the decay it embodies. Each is a nightmarish conglomeration of parts, with a lengthy neck holding a wide-eyed face of almost blissful idiocy. The gaping tooth-filled mouth houses a lolling tongue dripping with putrid saliva. Clusters of writhing tubes sprout from the Beast’s neck and back, each one spewing forth swarms of buzzing flies, clouds of vomit-inducing gases, flesh-eating fluids capable of finding gaps in even the most secure of armour. Its touch causes paralysis and its slimy secretions rot everything they cover. The very proximity of a Beast is sufficient to kill small animals and plants, and even larger creatures may age and decay perceptibly in its presence. Indeed, the Beast is the very embodiment of the universe's decay.

...to be continued, will keep updating the first post as this topic goes on. More pictures of each unit in the threads ahead.

YUCK! Really nice work

The rift/portal (to the brown dimension?) is disgustingly good, I love it how it's also pooling on the ground in front too.

That nurgling pic is a corker, you must be happy with that!

Great work on all fronts.

Great stuff. Love the portal....and the bases .... all of it really.
Why reds rather than greens for the portal?
Where is the body for your herald from?

Thanks!

More pictures are coming. Going thru a major rebasing thing with my entire army. The base is made up by different layers that need to dry (green stuff, wood glue, sand, paint, varnish…) so it takes some time finishing up.

The portal is more or less a mirror image of the plague Nurgles Rote, a sticky pool of filth: pus, excrement, urine, vomit and other foul substances.

Pukespittle is made of a chaos troll, green stuff and the head from a plague bearer.

Thanks! Will keep updating the first post as this topic goes on. Next is another plaguebearer unit or another beast of Nurgle unit...can't decide.

The first unit came to life during the Storm of Chaos days (6th:ed) when a new unit was introduced - Plagueriders. Basically Plaguebearers riding Beast of Nurgle. So it's just Plaguebearers pinned to beasts. At the time Beast of Nurgle also pulled chariots. Both units disappeared after the Storm of Chaos campaign. The chariot became a great unitfiller and I never saw the reason to lose the Plaguebearer-riders from the beast. The Other unit is based on Chthonian larvas from Rackham, no conversions. They used to be a unit of 7 each but since no character can use Beast of Nurgle as a mount they are a unit of 2*6 unit now.
