The sun will never set on the Slann Empire

Here is the floor on its own...the Totem warriors are depicted in each corner (one of each should be buried/mummified beneath the floor painting) . I plan to make another small room where only the Warrior Priests may enter which houses their fetish objects and sacred trophies. Plus an older photo of the force that invaded Ketil Trout's Lair in december...hence the Halfling diplomat, in the process of creating an alliance with the Slann.

And finally, sorry so many photos at once. While the Scouts were out the cupboard and the Temple standing (it is still propped up coffee cups and perhaps a Pesto jar is visible in the doorway) i set them up driving the Rafm Shambling Death out the Temple...with a modern Skeleton mounted Orc by Bob Olley in the background. Alas, the photos came out not so great and the temple is now deassembled and Scouts back in the cupboard before i realised how bad the photos are. but thanks for looking.

Temple is looking great, the floor and wall panels are beautiful. Lots of nice frogs too, good to see a bit of variety for the Slann with so many new ranges too. Shambling Death very nice also, many foul things afoot in Lustria, hope we can arrange some more battles soon, still plenty of scores to settle

I LOOOOVE your work as a whole. Tonight I went throught all of your thread and it is so great to see such dedication on a project! You are really creating a world that can hold on a table. Keep up the good work. I hope we will meet on the battlefield!

Thank you very much Ketil Trout , Plaiceville and Von Bismarck for the kind response. That would be a pleasure to meet upon the battlefield Plaiceville. I hope very much Von Bismarck that you build a temple, i am sure it would be really great! Indeed Ketil Trout some more battles needed...and thank you for this great gift...painted a few weeks ago a young Coatl (though not really a Coatl figure, Rafm Wyvern?, or lvl 5 Coatl (on back of base i added a modern dark elf bloodbowl ball/egg with Coatl tail sticking out, so more will hatch soon (but didnt photo). This can also be used in 'Death in Lustria' as a mission objective/quest aim. And a few more Slann done, and one more contemporary Eru Kin. Here they are posing for a photo unaware of the large Elephant behind them - which might get used as a Giant, or again as a random monster or special character in Death in Lustria.

Then, i got some more Foundry Aztec standards, so the past weeks i added more details to the Slann War Altar. After already adding offerings and sacrificial bowls to it. the Slann bearers got some fresh paint too, just to brighten them and try rescue them as they were never cleaned of childhood paint, so the flowers on headdress for example are almost beyond rescue with so many layers. Also painted the toothpicks gold and added plastic skulls to the front of them. Thanks for looking, might start now a new thread of wicked things that i don't want contaminating the Slann thread.

I'm really liking what you're bringing to the table here. First the chaos, and now the frogs! Great stuff. Great use of neat miniatures. Love the spirit of the whole thing.

Thank you very much Flinish , Symphonicpoet and Sleepysod , very much apreciated! . i very much enjoy your space landscapes Symphonicpoet! Here are some new recruits - there are more Slann painted but will save them until larger amount done to post at once . Currently painting more See 30 Amazons by Fimm McCool, really enjoying painting these! though i may have made some mistakes with hand positions. Here they are in action ambushing a Slann hero on Lion from Foundry and a preslotta Slann cold one rider. More See 30 Amazons undercoated and ready to paint. Will switch over to Grenja Chaos now as that project develops also as well as painting Norse Dwarf figures. (these are first uploads from a new modern phone with highly complicated camera and i cant find options to resize photos - either huge files or realy small - the Slann are loosing their technology skills - so i hope these upload fine)

^You know, Ketil Trout is quite right. That's a magnificent temple that's been doing background duty in all your shots. I've clearly been too distracted by the foreground frogs. (To which the pinky/purple individual is a great addition. And the locals who seem in the frog thrall. And the lion. Wonderful stuff!)

As Grenja´s wicked forces continue to gather in the South, the Slann have been gathering new recruits to face this dire threat. Just painted this orange Slann as Great Chief of the West Lustrian Tribes (having brought the purple one out the cupboard it is clear he now needs some fresh paints)...Orange Slann still needs some slight work, but will leave him for a few days in peace.

And finally, though more single Slann and Frogs have been painted the past months, i re painted a unit of 10 Cold One Riders and added a Standard and a Skaven head to the hero, though only 8 appear in these photos. Thanks for looking! and thanks Ketil Trout and Symphonicpoet for your kind words. Should also mention the Slann here were ambushed and defeated by the (wonderfully painted) Wood Elves of Micha...while Kremlo was leading Human Slaves to be sacrificed (WFB 3 1500 pts)....the Slann are planning their revenge.

A mighty host of frogs indeed, the spawning pools have been busy. Cold one riders, slaver, battle standard and slanns on palanquin all look great. Very nice photos too.
