I don't think that kevin did any pre-slotta miniatures at citadel, I may be wrong so I'll ask him next time we'll talk.

His name seems to appear as a sculptor in the autumn 1985 compendium but he was featured before for his paintings in the pages of white dwarf (have to check which ones).

It would be a guess but I would go with 1988 .... Orc Boar riders ... Or maybe the flesh hounds for the Slaves to darkness release?

(Just the first things I can remember he did?)

So I just checked, he has an article on painting in the second citadel compendium http://www.solegends.com/citcat1984comp ... 057-01.htm

He is also cited as a painter who did win the first prize at the open day in WD #66 (june 1985)
He has some paint work shown on WD #69 (september 1985) and again in WD 72 (December 1985)

Nohting more to be found on the white dwarf issues...

He is credited for some C12 goblins in the autumn 1985 CJ : http://www.solegends.com/citcat1985jour ... 024-01.htm

You are HERCULES POIROT of the citadel miniatures  ,just in a few minutes you tracked down the first kevin adams miniatures, thanks.

Pd:it is posible he has sculpted a mutant goblin?
No, this are again Alan & Michael Perry that did both sets (pre slotta, and slotted).

The C12 are ones of his first, but it could also be the C31 Hill giant ( http://www.solegends.com/citcat1985jour ... 028-01.htm )

In fact I do believe that i began sculpting at the end of 1984 (with Bryan Ansell as a teacher) and only made slotted miniatures for Citadel.

There was an interview of him in some publication (in fact 2 interviews, one on the old foundry site, a long time ago, and the other one in a magazine published by target zone, or by Grendel, unfortunately I do not remember in which one and could not find it right now) where he explained that Bryan Ansell gave him some putty and explained him how to sculpt at the end of 1984...

Ok it was in anvil, published by grendel in 1994, just found it right now, Kev replies to the question "how long have you been designing miniatures" by saying "Since 1984, when Bryan Ansell gave me inspiration and putty"

I do not have a scanner at hand, so you'll have to find a copy elsewhere...

... that's almost all...
