• Welcome to the Golden Gobbo painting competition. If you'd like to read some of the ancient history you can on the Realm of Chaos 80s blog.

This competition is held some years and you'll find threads here describing how to enter and when the competition is running (typically after BOYL each year).

Other than the fame and wonderment of your peers there is often a prize kindly donated and you'll have the wonder of being awarded badges for your profile here.

GG 2019 5th Annual Golden Gobbo Awards (2019)

Decided to base and paint this last night, and then decided to put it here as a contribution...Lustrian Giant Leech (Citadel C22). First photos on white background, then 2 more of the Giant Leech in its natural habitat. As the settlers encroach more and more in to Eastern Lustria the Giant Leech attacks are becoming more common. Here a dusty Halfling is ambushed (also good for showing scale). I think i would like to try a varnish on this to make it look more shiny and slimey. Some half digested body parts would have been good also on a large base.

Here's my entry for the Golden Gobbo. It's one of the first minis I got, as part of a bag of random dwarfs and I know no more about it than that.

Wasn't planning on joining (didn't know it was going on) but since I recently painted this, I figured I'd join in.

The legendary happy-go-lucky young sea elf prince who gave up his claim to the throne to his equally well meaning cousin, then sailed the seas of fate, promoting peace and tranquility, carrying with him the healing boon of the white sword "Stillbringer". Such a pleasant boy. ;)

A solitary (of course) hero for my sea elves.
