As promised my entry. He's Arkon Stormrider from the SS1 Champions of Chaos box unfortunately he'd lost his head but the chaos gods decided that he should have a replacement in keeping with his barbarian heritage and Conan pretentions. So he has a replacement plastic head of more recent manufacture. I am tempted to try painting all his descendants now I see him finished.

Nice one dude. :) I wonder what is holding his sleeves on... or perhaps that's why he never lowers his hands!

Re: 5th Annual Golden Gobbo Awards (2019)

My entry - a beastmen mutation conversion (based on an old John Blanche conversion as seen in 1989's 'Fantasy Miniatures' book., armed and ready for Necromunda / Kill team use

Claw was done with milliput / green stuff blend. Chaos familiar bust (a green stuff duplicate of an original metal familiar I made so as to not destroy the original) grafted onto the head, with a little putty sculpting to make it blend into the head. Gun / arm from a mid 90's metal Empire Freeguild weapon sprue.

Painting was a typical wet on wet blending job with lots of ink washes and fast brushwork. Metal was Vallejo liquid silver in combiantion with citadel retributor armour gold.

Finally a nice thick coat of gloss varnish from Halfords (petrol resistant universal lacquer) for that authentic early Blanche look!
