Retroclone progress?

Hi,
Having recently rediscovered some of the RPGs and wargames I played, I've been looking for some form of 'hammer retroclone.
Is this the main place for it? Or is there some progress elsewhere? (Thinking about how I'd try rewriting these games as a result of trying to teach youngish children to play....)
Thanks.

I've written up a retro clone, but it is only 60% similar to 3rd edition. I finished the basic game part of the rules but never finished writing the advanced stuff. So it's not released yet...

Edit: If anyone is curious, this is what I had managed to finish. Again, it's just the basics, and takes inspiration from a lot of games and not just 3rd.

There are some very useful documents put together by Dreamfish in the Rules Discussion section.

I'll have a look at Battleaxe!

On a broader note, yes I believe this is the place! at least I'm not aware of any other WFB retroclone developments. There is a Zweihander, which is a clone of WFRP http://grimandperilous.com/ which might be worth having a look at.

I like your art choices!

So far there is not all that much to go on ruleswise.. but Battleaxe is shaping up quite nicely. Good stuff!

Anyone read the "warhammer an Old Grumbler's rules" I just stumbled upon on Scribd? Seems like realy serious work, but a bit unclear or complex in places. Though I like complex...
