I play Chaos, Skaven and Dwarf.

Just to sum up things here we have a new member who's GMing 3D WHRP !Welcome to Ced !
I believe we can wait a little bit more to see who's ready to meet up and make some good ol' oldhammer stand in any show.

Ok so now we even have some british blood in our french club. That's fair since the vast majority of models we own are also british...
I'll continue to update this thread in english (we're on a british forum after all) so if anyone not french plans to come to France and would like to meet fellow oldhammerers for fun, game, beer, whatever, you're welcome!

I think that we should start by getting feedback from the BOYL organisers - what worked what didn't, what they would change etc...,

Then, do we want to stage a demo (scenarios) or just turn up and play? 1 day presence or more?
What are the 'rules' if any (painted vs non-painted, who supplies the scenery, no finecast ;) ).
Do we have a golden Froggo painting competition?
Who will hold Nico down while I steal his army? ;)

On a practical level, I think we rent a number of tables for a certain amount of time and do what we want on them.
The T3 site seems to be available to help organise participation:http://www.tabletoptournaments.net/fr/index.php

[Edit]
I've started a thread asking for feedback here:

Impressive !
First ideas coming to my mind :

- a demo with a good narrative campaign is th eleast of things considering we want to promote the oldhammer ethos. Depending on the people interested, we can either replay a known scenario or build our own to match the models and armies available.
- I would really like to see no unpainted model on our tables (let's just play with what's painted)
- Every model accepted as long as it's painted and really represents what's it's meant to be
- scenery, depending on wether some is available, the closest people to the show should bring some according to the games planned so that people in train don't have to bring their mighty fortress and such...
- I'll give a closer look at the T3 organisatoin when I have some spare time. Getting some display facility (cabinet or whatever should be a good thing) We should have some great models to show.

Regarding the time we spend, I guess people coming from farther will want to come for more than a day. OS maybe we should think about either a 2 days game or many linked games, another question being the kind of games, there sure will be people for some good ol' WHFB 3rd but I believe showing some confrontation or some RT could also be fun. Anyway, many ideas and lots of things to do.
I'll have a chat about that with some local players to see what can be achieved.

It's a very good idea to organise something near Lyon! I'm with you on this projetc!!

For my will : no unpainted minies , that's all!

just a question, "non - GW minis" allowed if they are "oldhammers spirit" ?

best regards

Well that's what we have to decide, for me, you can bring anything you like aslong as it's painted.

I opened a special thread for this event in the wargame show section : viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1099

(Illuminatus : I hope you don't mind me copying your suggestions on the first post but they wre a good starting point.)

Thanks

This is really intesrting. I've followed Jérémie's work a lot having lived in Nantes (the place where all french starpainters came from a few years back) and I've seen quite some time at Starplayer (reference hobby shop in Paris) for some painting masterclasses.
He's very good (but that we all know) but especially very clear and nice to follow, you'll have a good time! I'll see if I can participate. Coming for the illuminations is definitely a good idea (my wife has never seen it) so if I don't make it to the sculpting masterclass, there may be a way to meet at the parc d ela tête d'or if you have kids (I have a 3yo daughter) and a drink if you fancy that !

hello, my name is Emmanuel. I live at 20 kms of Dunkerque.
i play at space hulk V1and the last version, heroquest with my children.
i have an undead army, I'm increase a warrior of chaos warband but i don't still post pictures on this forum and i have a tzeentch daemon army for 40k.
