'Night of the Living Lead II' 25/10/14

Hi all, I have booked some table space at Slayer Gaming in Mansfield on the 25th of October for a Hallowe'en themed game. I will use WFB3 as rules but all miniatures are welcome. More details to follow after BOYL '14, for now just save the date if you are interested. Let me know if you want your minis/army to feature in the intro narrative.

Cheers!

If the wife wasn't due to drop a sprog that week I'd sign up! Have fun though and make sure it's all heavily documented on line!

;)

We had a great game there a few weeks back - loads of parking - it's on an industrial estate. There's a great butty shop round the corner and the guys and girls who run Slayer Gaming are a great bunch.

Here's the link to their website and how to find them - http://www.slayer-gaming.com/contact-location-details/

I'm planning on being there myself and would imagine a 10.00am start but I'm sure Warlord Paul will give us the fine detail in good time.

The last Night of the Living Lead game we played this happened -

http://warlordpauluk.blogspot.co.uk/201 ... t-one.html

Since then this happened -

http://warlordpauluk.blogspot.co.uk/201 ... 14614.html

as a result of this going on -

http://warlordpauluk.blogspot.co.uk/201 ... horne.html

http://warlordpauluk.blogspot.co.uk/201 ... th-of.html

I don't know whether this will have any bearing on the scenario for Night of the Living Lead II but I can certainly vouch for Baron Kraust being out harvesting new souls to replenish his ranks!

I can also say that any and all newcomers are more than welcome and that the story arc (should it have a bearing) is definitely flexible enough to cope with most things flung at it

Thantsants' post is very accurate. I am not going into too much detail before BOYL because it'll be too much on most people's plate I suspect. I will leap in to capitalise on the post-BOYL blues and scoop up some participants in late August. Parking is awesome and the Old Mill Lane estate is easy to find.

This is now an 'event' on Facebook and Google +, you can join and follow the situation there too.

Best regards other WP, good luck with the birth. Documentation is a certainty!

Hi Paul,

It does not effect what you are up to but just so you know ....

GROG (Gloucestershire Retro and Oldhammer Gamers) will again be running a Night of the Living Lead Game around Halloween.
This time we plan a much bigger battle (rather than the smaller scale forces we used last time).
I guess if anyone couldn't make it to you and was in striking distance of Gloucestershire and fancied some undead themed shinanagins .... they can rock up with some beers.

That's excellent news, an early vision of NotLL was to get everyone gaming at roughly the same time across the country using a horror theme. Good luck! Feel free to use this thread if you want, just let me know if you need me to add a date in the title.

Jesus mate, this story arc is getting complicated, and that's without even considering the other storylines that have stemmed out of it (Derach the demented Dirach) and that may one day feed into it (gnome on the range, the unwanted, and Filthi "the traitor" Richersson)! I think all of this needs suitably chronicled ;)

The narrative is certainly making War and Peace look like the Hungry Caterpillar, while it may be a bit impenetrable to newcomers I am hoping that from the frothy brew of creativity we all end up with 'special characters' that mean something to us. I am inspired by characters like Bugman, Heinrich Kemmler and Azhag the Slaughterer who were all developed (to some degree) in WD battle reports. I have everything down on 'The Black Hole' but the time has certainly come to start off a forum thread for posterity's sake.

I do hope it wouldn't put newcomers off; I like to think that the idea of taking part in and feeding into a mythology of Silmarillion-like complexity is a major attraction!

Perhaps what is needed is a very simple outline of the main trunk of the narrative, and then a more extensive and exhaustive chronicle of all of the exciting ways that the universe has grown.

Thinking about it, if a 'newcomer' has gotten far enough into our bizarre sub-culture to want to read up about our shenanigans and join in then they probably have the kind of staying power it takes to pull it off. Even so, I like your idea. Maybe a top post with an edited summary, a kind of 'previously on...'
