ABC Warrior conversion painted .... 07/07

I finished off a rather quick paintjob on the new member of the gang in time for our next game tomorrow.
I also redid the hood on the leader at the same time as I was not really happy with the red.

The colours are not exactly the same, the original being more yellow, but I am happy enough with it.

First Scavvy finished .... 20/07

I have finished another one, bar a little tidying up.
A Scavenger this time.

He will have his integral base removed and be attached to a slotta tab for casting.

Two more Scavvies are almost finished along with three more Scouts (including two females this time).

Casting you say ? I like the sound of that

I intend to finish a dozen or so figures before I get them cast up.
These will go in the same mould as the Scavvy/Scaly Mutants that I am also working on.

They will be in sets of three: Scavengers, Scouts (three more not-Ratskins to accompany the earlier set), Punk ladies (not-Escher/Brat ganger types) etc...with the idea that the fur trims tie them all together nicely so that they can be utilised as a gang as a whole.
That way they could be used for 'Munda styled games as well as Post Apocalytic gaming too.

Scavvies Finished, pics up.... 29/07

I should have the castings of these in hand tomorrow.
Once they are checked over I shall be sending out PM's with details to interested parties.

On another note, I have finished a few more that I shall be getting cast up when I have enough for a mould.

The first three are Scavvies.
My own take on them, anyway, as I am not so keen on the rather cartoony look of the official figures.

Meet 'Ape-face', Sick Jack and Mungo...

Sick Jack has a whole in his left fist to accommodate a variety of options, a club, boat hook or bag, pictures of which will be posted later.

I am hoping that these should be usable for quite a few different genres. Post-Apoc nutters and Cursed Earth Desperadoes are the first things that spring to mind.

2 More Savage Scouts finished... .... 28/07

Well, they went down well......

The next two are a couple of Savage Scouts to add to the tribe, including a female Savage this time...

I fixed the right hand on the female scout, she now has a new hand with the correct number of fingers....

Next up, an alien merchant and his porters...(the merchant has since had his arms removed and reworked. Pictures of him when he is finished)

The carrier pack is empty so that the choice of what they are carrying is open to just about anything.

Originally designed for use as sci-fi civilians, I guess they could work just as well in a fantasy setting too.

The first of the Eldar painted... ....24/08

Ok, lets try something different as it seems nobody likes the sculpts....

I have finally gotten around to painting some of the Eldar that were at the start of this thread.
I decided to start with the two that I thought would come out the worst.

The Ghost Warrior....

IMG_9843_zpslex5njhh.jpg

He came out ok, but I know that I should have stripped it first as I have lost a little of the detail, especially on the tubing.

And the first of the Warriors from the crew....

IMG_9846 1_zpsmnovc7kc.jpg

This is one that I had to fix but I am sure that the rest will come out better.

And the first two together....

IMG_9798_zpst0s5zc60.jpg

Two more are almost done so I should have another picture or two soon......

Quite a fan of the Alien Merchant figures actually, they have a nice comic feel to them which I'm a big fan of in gaming. It can be far too grimdark serious sometimes!

Thank you.
:)

I was trying to keep them as generic as possible so that they could work in a variety of ways.
Dependant on what you put on the 'pack', they should be able to be used in a wide range of settings.

The merchant has had his arms removed and remodelled and I should finish him this week and provide pictures of the MKII version then.

I like the sculpts too, your range of savages is great and the aliens would be lovely addition to my sci-fi civvies. My bank account is bled dry but I'm hoping you'll have some left to buy in a month or so.
Those eldar are really beautiful, I love your painting style! Are they done using glazes?

Thanks, smiler, much appreciated.
:)

The only ones that have been cast up so far are the first three Savage Scouts, and I do have a few left.
If you want me to put a set aside for you just let me know.
The rest wont be available for at least a month as I do not have enough for a mould yet.
As soon as I do I shall get them sent off and post here when they are available.
;)

Yes: They are finished with glazes, as I wanted to try something different and I thought that the Eldar would make a good test subject.
They are painted initially in dark brown and worked up to ivory.
Thin coats of the basic colour are applied over this and then finished with glazes.
I am pretty happy with the effect.

I have finished another that I will post tomorrow.....

Another of my favourite classics, gotta love that shuriken pistol.

And with his mate from yesterday....

These two I am really happy with, I just hope the next bunch come out as well as these......

I hope to get some more started at the weekend.

Merchant reworked 29/08

I went back to the merchant sculpt and removed the arms.
A little reworking on the robes followed and I am much happier with him now...

Here ya go.....

....I also enlarged his belly and reworked the robes a little.
I think he looks much better now.

More Eldar meet Mr Brush (RT/-I-munda project) 29/08

And I finally got around to adding a few more Eldar to the band to make them a 'game-able' force....

(Taken just before they got their first appearance on a table earlier. Photos of that to follow later.... :)).
