I have been having fun creating warbands with Oldhammer day in mind.

I have followed Orlygg's handy guide on his blog and come up with the following.

Realm of Chaos warband. (Khorne)
(I confess I have the mini I want to be my champion … so I choose the results to best match the mini)

(50) Human
(65) Level 10 Hero

Chaos Armour and riding a Jugger OR on foot with chaos weapon. (I have a foot and mounted version)

(585) Mace tail.
(175) Bestial face

(After this I put myself in the hands of the Chaos gods)

(D100=27) Beastmen (2D6=5)
(D100=73) Humans (2D6=8) Normal humans Light armour, shields, Bows and spears.
(D100=39) Chaos Warrior (D6=6 Chaos warrior Profile)

So fifteen figures to find and paint.

Realms of Chaos (Slaanesh)

(D100=42) Human
(D100=87) Level 10 wizard.

Willpower and Chaos weapon.

(D100=989) Invent own : Multiple legs (Like fiend of Slaanesh)
(D100=763) Razor sharp claws.

(D100=37) Chaos Sorcerer.
(D100=57) Humans (2D6=9) Normal humans Light armour, shields, bows and spears.
(D100=79) Minotaur (D4=1)

So just 12 figures to find and paint but where do I start with a Slaanesh themed Mino???

So here is my starting point for my Khorne warband:

I have this guy.

... and I have him foot or mounted:

I have also found him a suitable horse if the Jugger is considered too much.

I have also found the following Khorne beastmen:

Sadly, I don't have the 5th one from the red catalogue ... but i do have a multiple of the dog headed guy here so i may try a conversion or something for the the last one.

I have found my Warrior but I forgot to get a picture of him. Sorry.

For the Marauders I will be using some of the Marauder thug regiement guys

This is the starting point for Slaanesh Warband:

My biggest worry was what to do for a Slaanesh Mino ...

I went to my man cave and started to dig ... as it happened when I started to hunt through my bits box I found the body of a Keeper of secrets ... no head and only one sey of arms.
Well a spare Mino head, Half an hour, a bit of greenstuff and some harsh language and I had this beauty done.

What a result. Would never have built this were it not for the dice gods.

Next I started on my main Characters. Having started with a sorecrer and the dice rolled another I had started to get this idea in my head about two twins trying to compete with each other for the attentions and gifts of the prince of pleasure.

I have wanted an excuse to paint the mini wth the sepent tail for a while but i had to be a bit more creative to come up with the other one:

So this just leaves me with the humans/thugs.

I could have happily used some more of the Marauder ones but I had a hunt and found some of the citadel ones so thought that was the right way to go given the occaision.

I have cleaned up and based some og my favorites .... Can you help me to pick nine from this little lot?

Yes ... it's a backstory that will write itself.

I also love how the minis look side by side. I can see me building an army around those two as general and Standard Bearer.

Looking very promising Harry! Its nice to see someone taking the purist route and using Old School RoC miniatures to boot. Looking forwards to seeing the paint on these Khornates!

No .... I think thats just you mate. :grin:

I like that guy but he does not scream Slaanesh at me .... but will pant him up with the others.

Quick update.
Been a bit busy .... but grabbed a couple of hours this morning.
Made start on the Slaanesh warband ... Just some base colours so far ... looks a bit rough at ths stage so be nice:

... and Porno Mino seems to be working out well :grin:
