Wasteland caravan

It is well known that transportation from hive city to hive city through the wastelands is a delicate issue. Large ships are common, but sometimes the old fashioned truck transport is unavoidable. That is specially the way to carry suplies to small towns of only a few million inhabitants. Good old trucks are quite a common view through the landscape.

You may remember the wonderful work by Axiom (http://magpieandoldlead.blogspot.com/2018/02/keep-them-wagons-rolling.html). Inspiring as it was, I had to shamelessly copy it. For my own version,I used a beer can and I went for a tanker:

The result was not that bad, considering my starting point and that I really didn't know what I was really doing at each stage, it was all a mess of glue, paint and greenstuff

I turned it all into this:

The wastelands are dangerous. Many perils await for anyone daring to make their path through the ash wastes and toxic deserts. Even the most innocent cargo truck needs protection. Long caravans are usually set up and the company owners pay for hired guns to escort the goods to make sure that they arrive safely. All kind of bandits, desert pirates, wasteland natives or desert beasts can attack the caravans, so protection is not to be taken lightly.
Whatever the case is, the arrival of a caravan is always a matter of joy to the inhabitants of the desert towns.

You can find the whole WIP process on the blog:

Now I have a problem. I want a whole caravan. And Mad Max like buggies to escort the trucks. Maybe the Genestealer Cult is interested in the yummy soylent. Maybe some desperado bandits. Maybe Don Quirixote of Manchae Prime is willing to ride to defend the honour of those damsels in distress travelling on board of such a majestic, golden carriage...

These all sound like solid plans, and it is a glorious tanker. Sure, you could have used a smaller can, but . . . then you'd have to drink a smaller beverage, and who wants that? ;)
