Well see, I prefer your versions to mine for the reasons explained in the blog. Yours have textures and a certain consistency mine terribly lacks, It's a wrong balance between finely detailed bits and plain areas whereas yours have a neat and even level of detail that makes it coherent. Maybe someday I'll make some more of these but I'll probably leave the fancy bits aside and will just aim for pure retro sci-fi.
