Ok, wasn't expecting pistols!

Ah, should have said - Amazons are pretty much the only race to get High technology weapons as routine equipment! 8-) 8-) 8-) So, these are either needle or bolt pistols both are nasty with pretty good ranges 20-30inches, poison (needle), high strength (bolter) with good armour piercing -2, so get em in a good firing position and watch them go to work with BS four

Been a bit quiet here recently, mostly down to various domestic distraction so progress has been slow, but there has been some progress a few Fighting Fantasy types and a hand full of amazonian bodyguard and novice to join the growing gaggle of ladies

If, you look closely you'll see the next batch already under the brush 8-) in the background

Enjoy

Well we've done the biggest (possibly) Space Fleet battle ever and now I think it looks this game is going to be the largest mustering of Amazons ever! I think we need an Oldhammer Book of Records starting up

Looking good Paul ...
My scheme is similar to yours ... this might end up being the most amazons seen in one place for some time.

Amazons are certainly one of the less popular factions within the early warhammer world, just one of those dead-ends,I suppose. So yes, this maybe one of those times when we'll see a large collection of 'rare' figures in one place - which is surprising, given the selection of models and fluff they produced, they obviously invested a lot of time and effort - a question for BOYL maybe.

Yeah Lustria did seem to have quite some time and effort lavished on it. Shame it didn't take off in a bigger way - or maybe it was more popular back in the day? Bit before my time to be honest when this lot first came out!

As promised I'm now into the final stages of applying paint to my C series Amazons, just finished the character figures, continuing to daub paint on the nobles and applied the base flesh coat to the last batch of warriors, hopefully by the end of the week I should have them all done - time will time

Enjoy

Well this weekend didn't go has planned as I found myself working pretty much all weekend traveling between building sites, but I have finally got the nobles finished, and a few coats of colour applied to the berserkers and devouts, so hopefully next weekend I'll get the basing and varnishing done and I'll put an army shot together for you to see what the last couple of months has produced as a whole! but until then, here are the nobles

This'll give me a week or two prior to BOYL, this question is more pilgrims or two sabre-toothed tiger chariots?

You can't say Sabre-Toothed Tiger Chariots and expect anyone to vote for anything else now can you?

  , No, but if, Steve (the GM) want's more pilgrims for the game - I'll paint pilgrims, Steve? But you've expressed your preferred option and in my book it's 'one man, one vote' and your the man that's voted - so the cats are on the painting table and have had their first few applications of colour applied

Due to working over the weekend and a meeting finishing earlier than expected I've managed to finish the next batch of Amazons and start the chariots!

Enjoy

Well been a busier week than expected so I've got far further than I thought I would this week - with the chariots and amazons. If, things stay calm I should get the pilgrims done as well 8-) 8-) 8-) Apologies for the standard of photo

Enjoy

OK, last batch of the current amazon to do list are done, all I have to do now is complete their basing and we're good to go. As I've Monday off to attend my daughters graduation from Royal Holloway (not too far away) I should have them finished and a photo of them all together in an 'army' shot

So next up, are a group of Celtos (in the background) figures which I'm proposing to add to my collection of pilgrims, I originally started painting them for the Morcar game, but never got them finished , this gives me the opportunity 8-)

Hope you enjoy

Those chariots are fun models. I’ve never seen them before.

Grenadier, not particularly great models, picked them up a few years ago, lost the fighting crew amongst my other grenadier infantry figures, they are rather nasty to run into, due to the tigers - WS4,S 4/5, three attacks each and minus two on any saving throw - their going to hurt 8-) only draw back I can see movement 6, usually.

I've just picked up a few of their tiger riding archers, am thinking of using them as escorts for the chariots similar to the ancient Egyptians to provide support.

I don't know how much detail your going to see with this army shot but here goes  and you've seen most them painted in the last few month so you know what they look like close to

Woah - that's a whole load of Amazonia! Nice work mate!

Sorry - missed the pilgrim debate but the more the merrier!

The army looks great all together. The chariots look really good too, i got a Ral Partha Amazon chariot pulled by slaves a few weeks ago (not yet assembled it) , after seeing the sabre tooth tiger chariots it does not seem quite as exciting and certainly less deadly than these.
