Warlord Paul wrote:The big down side is that at every show I have had miniatures stolen, averaging at about £30-£40 worth each day at a show. :( Needless to say this has been very off-putting indeed and more or less rules out the idea of taking old lead on the road. This part of the original plan is therefore under review.

Seriously? I know that these models are 'desirable' but actually going so far as to steal them - I am, quite frankly, appalled by humanity right now

Great project though, I'm glad you intend to continue despite the aforementioned difficulties.

Unfortunately I have lost all my photos - since I let my old web-host lapse - I'll get them all back again sometime in the new year

SOrry to hear that Paul! I have been to lots of shows and never had a model stolen! I guess your models are just so much cooler than mine. Or it might be that I have not done any shows "up north"?

Thanks for the sympathy mate. I can't say why there has been so many problems on the northern circuit. We haven't been able to get a table at the big two (Vapnartak and Triples) yet so I can't comment on those but the smaller shows have definitely been targeted by thieves. Ainsty Castings were hit a while back at a Staffordshire show and had the van cleaned out, maybe there is a bad egg taking advantage up here.
