What ho my Jolly Jack Tars

I thought I had better introduce myself as I have started to post here. I started playing with fantasy figures about '79 (Minifigs and Ral Partha at first) first D and D and then fantasy games using WRG Renaissance rules (which worked really well). I am most interested in Prehammer stuff, the early battles put on by Joe Dever at Dragonmeet and the first Warhammer scenario Thistlewood. I'm lucky enough to have been able to buy a good few figures from the late Mr. Dever's collection that featured in the original game which was something of a dream come true (perhaps I ought to get out more). :geek:

Other than that I have a Chaos Marauder army, and base my budding Oldhammer forces on prog rock albums.... The Court of the Crimson King, Broadsword and the Beast and the new Tasmanian band Tarot has some great fantasy lyrics, as well as the diseased baroque dreams of my own imagination. Recently members of GROG have been kind enough to ask me along for Oldhammer fun, so thanks chaps :D

Thanks Paul.....must have been thinking of GROG as usual, rather than GLOG. Would love to make to to BOYL, but seem to have left it too late... next year for sure.
