I finally managed to have a game of Epic
I still have my Space Marines tanks halp painted, but this was the only schedule I could get from my mate so... battle it is!
My mate played Squats (gorgeous minis):
So it all started:
We used NetEpic. I'm not familiar with the rules, but my adversary is, so it was a kinda swift game. I hadn't played an Epic scale game since... 2000-2001? so it was a brand new game for me.
My pal, on the contrary, knew what he was doing. He just knocked me off with his artillery, while my poor infantry suffered it all over.
The game is quicker than I remembered/expected. By the end of turn one, we were on the edge of close combat, fighting for the board centre:
Squat army is not particularly fast. Except for the bikes. Oh, the bikes. They engaged my tanks in close combat and deprived me of using any long range weapon or most of my embarked troops.
We of course a few juicy Titan encounters
With lots of tables!
My units suffered and suffered...
By the end of turn 2 my army was under heavy pressure!
But I got some airborne reenforcements!
We finally got the long expected confrontation...
In the end it was terribly fun. I was appaled, as you can see, but I held the position for most of the game.
I enjoyed it a lot, and now I can only think of reorganizing my Marines army and painting my Orks!
You can have it all here (with many more pics!):
