Rebels with a cause (A WH40K2 scenario)

On a perspective, we could (and maybe should) have used Rogue Trader, but we decided to use 2nd Edition for the sake of agility. I hope you gentlemen may excuse that weakness for the modernity, but I can otherwise assure you that this game has a full Oldhammer Quality Seal of Approval ;)

The whole idea was about having some protesters messing with Adeptus Arbites. But when the day came, I had an extra player, so I added a Genestealer Cult. So the scenario starts when the Imperial Governor's barge is taken down on the outskirts of the Hive. He and his retinue must reach the closest Arbites Outpost, but those protesters are not going to let that happen so easily...

The full set of home rules is here: https://oldschoolworkshop.blogspot.com/ ... rules.html
They mainly deal with the use of rioters. I used a system of violence levels for the different groups of protesters, so they could act differently as the confrontation with Imperial authority escalated.

So the Governor is stranded then...

(I would be controlling this one as the GM. This was a way of causing more mayhem, but particularly an attempt of balancing things if any of the players was performing way better than the others)

But apparently I had no need of causing any additional mayhem, the players were outstandingly good on that on their own.

The game was immensely fun, it really was. A lot of silly things happening every turn and we all crying in laughter. You can find the whole report (with many, many more pics and the full story) here: https://oldschoolworkshop.blogspot.com/ ... -game.html

I hope you find it interesting

Looks great, Suber.

Second edition is awesome. Played with an old school ethos, it’s a great Oldhammer choice.

Outstanding! Great looking table and it sounds like you had a blast and packed a lot of scenery and action in to a relatively small space! 2nd edition is a good laugh if a little heavy on maths for close combat if I recall
