After completing extensive campaign of Tamurkhan, I am embarking, with my usual Rathelot club gaming partners, on a new big project: The Bretonnian Wars of 2520 (the Year of Woe) and 2521 (the Mallobaude Revolt) .

The End Time is approaching, the Chaos portals are still spewing more magical energy on the Known world. As the first step in this still-coming storm, Tzeentch, the Lord of Change, sends his devoted servant Kairos to devastate Bretonnia.
Why Tzeentch and why Bretonnie? Perhaps this calculating god wants to prevent the Empire from benefiting from a certain strategic depth or a tank of soldiers for the future war? Perhaps he sees how much the Lady's servants could be useful to the elves? Perhaps he wants to simplify the task to the usurper Mallobaude and rejoice in the chaos: change is now!
The demonic armies of Tzeentch are striking everywhere in the kingdom. Bretonnians will never really understand the logic of these attacks that seem to target almost random objectives: rich villages, old baronies, oratories dedicated to the Lady, royal symbols, etc. Kairos actually seeks to capture the most powerful magical items in Bretonnia, especially those that belonged to the companions of Gilles, the country's legendary founder.
Battle I-1 : The barony of Bonnecuite
Kairos sends the Lord of Change Rofocal to attack the barony of Bonnecuite in Lyonesse in order to capture a magic lance. After having burned a few farms to make sure everyone was well aware of his presence, the demon chose to attack a small cemetery in the town. The latter houses the remains of Saint Frusquin, distant descendant of Thierulf of Lyonnesse, which is the subject of a local cult. The goal of the demon is to involve the Baron Bonnecuite himself equipped with all the weapons of his ancestors including the magic lance he seeks. His plan works.
The battle report
After having dispersed the Bretonian men-at-arms, the Lord of Change joined the cemetery held by the Pink Horrors. The charge of the knights and the baron himself, who was trying to dislodge them, is as heroic as he is hopeless.
Battle I-2 : The beat of lord de Manchabal
The beastmen of Zambar Bone (see battles IV-5, V-2 and VI-2 of the Tamurkhan campaign) have joined the southern Carcassone ! Tzeentch marked the shaman of the band and they were joined by a Champion of the God of Change.
After attacking some Bretonnian farms, the beastmen are confronted by the troop of Marquis Hilarion de Manchabal. He is an archetype of Carcassonian. He lives only to fight all the creatures coming down from the Irrana mountains. He is a brave warrior and he is accompanied by many knights in search of the Grail or glory.

The servants of Tzeentch suffer a defeat. They must retreat as the demons gradually disappear from the battlefield. The protection of the Lady has served the Bretonnians enormously and she has saved the knights more than once from the blows of the opposing monsters.
To be continued...
